The soil is where plants live. It's where they get their nourishment, water, and stabilization. Maintaining proper soil balance can be difficult with severe weather, runoff, and potential loss of nutrients. Improving the physical characteristics of the soil is the best thing you can do. It is what led ENCAP to develop and patent Advanced Soil Technology. Where other technologies simply act as a seed cover (i.e. straw or paper), ENCAP's AST technology engages the soil to do the work. | |
The polymers used in ENCAP's AST technology have been used in agriculture for over 30 years. ENCAP's Scientist, Dr. Aicardo Roa, has been developing and formulating polymers for over 20 years. Dr. Roa's impressive research in agriculture, erosion control, dust abatement, and water clarification throughout the world ensures ENCAP has the best industry leading technology. ENCAP's AST is a composition of negatively charged polymers called PAM. When AST is spread over soil, these negative charged polymers combine with positively charged soil minerals and nutrients. During this process, AST forms a fine net of fibrous molecules (strands) around the soil particles. These strands cause clusters (agglomerates) of soil that are more stable. As the clusters are created pore-free space occurs in the soil, while at the same time stabilizing the soil aggregates. This single feature results in the prevention of crusting, provides increased water infiltration, increased permeability, and various improvements in the soil physical characteristics. |
